It was an awesome weekend at the Toronto Outdoor Art Fair. I'm overwhelmed at the outpouring of love, kindness, generosity, and support from my friends, followers, and total strangers.
So many people came out to see me- thanks to all of you for the chance to catch up on what's happening in your corner of the world. I also had a number of people from Facebook and Instagram come to my booth to meet me in person and it's always terrific to connect in real time outside of the virtual world. Some favourite square foot pieces found new homes!
I am forever indebted to Ralph Martin and Karen Joy Martin who seem to chauffeur my cargo of paintings to so many shows and events, and tirelessly help me to set up and take down at various venues year after year. They also have a house full of my paintings from the earliest years until the present. I could never thank you guys enough, you are truly the best friends anyone could have.
Thank you to my sweetie Moshe Sakal for a weekend of love and laughter- it would have been impossible to hang my work each morning without you and not nearly as funny. Thank you to my dear friend Paulo Henrickson who came every day to spread his sparkle and glow on everyone who stopped by.
Finally, it was a joy to meet Tiffany Pratt, and receive her "loved by Tiffany" endorsement. Tiffany is a very colourful TV personality in style, decor and fashion and she was giving a talk at the fair at the Partial Lounge with Partial Art Toronto, where my painting was also featured on Saturday. Tiffany just happened to match my work perfectly!
Congratulations to all the artists for a great weekend. It is always a joy to see Mark Jeremy Gleberzon and Loretta Kaltenhauser, to name a few familiar faces. These kinds of fairs are an unbelieveable amount of work, cost a lot to participate in, and take a lot of energy and endurance. I'm grateful to all of them for sharing their creativity with the world.
